Hi, Nadia,

This journal is published by Horizon Research Publishing Corporation. Whenever possible, I complete my analyzes at the publisher level rather than at the individual journal level — there are too many journals to analyze. I do have this publisher on my list, and I recommend that you find a better publisher than this one for your work. It is possible that some respected authors have published in the journal, but they may have been tricked or made a mistake.

Good luck,

Jeffrey

Dears,
not only such bogus articles spoil the hard work of real scientists but they also shed – wrongfully – a bad light on the methods and software they claim to have used.

Meyer, not everything in life is free. Commercial software is not. But this does not mean that it is black box, which COSMO-RS is definitely not, nor it does mean that you cannot reproduce it’s results. But it requires an effort to study the relevant literature on it, Meyer.

Benn, OA journals are a way for the publishers to scam the authors, and the authors to scam their respective institutions and funding sources. They are also a sinkhole for naive and inexperienced researchers, and the best way to insure the invisibility of your work.

One of the reasons is that it uses this address to make it appear (deception) that it is based in New York, when it really is not:

228 PARK AVE SOUTH #85556
NEW YORK, NY 10003 USA

Thank you Mr. Beall,

Actually, their website is really poorly developed, but it seems they attract some really well-established scholars as members, mostly of Greek origin living in USA.

An interesting fact is that the registration fee for their conferences and publication fee for journals is quite high (min. 300 euros).

Looking forward to reading your evaluation.
