Interesting — this is a web design company, and it looks like they specialize in designing websites for predatory publishers! It’s possible the company owns all the “brands” of predatory publishers and the web design is a side business.

Dear Jeffrey,
I’m a retired Anesthesiological Prof. working as a scientific adviser in Asia. This part of the world has great potential, and is consequently in great need for publication, the more as acceptance by the established Journals is increasingly difficult to achieve. Your list is extremely helpful to avoid traps and pitfalls.
I didn’t find the following dubious(?) company on your list: SciMed Central. They catched me for the Editorial Board because I found some reputable names already in it. Strangely they changed from Herald Scholarly Open Access to SciMed Central. Sounds not convincing. The final hint is the submisson process: One file (word or PDF) to an Emailaddress. Can you confirm? I consider to cancel my cooperation. Thank’s in advance, Peter

Sir, sorry for the confusion. I do have this publisher included on my list. It is listed as JScimed Central, so it is listed under "J". I agree it is dubious, and I do recommend that you not work with them.

i don’t think textraod journals is fake. I submitted a quality manuscript with the publisher, and after almost 3months of scrutiny (reveiw and corrections) my manuscript was accepted freed of charges.
So, i won’t wanna settle for textroad joournals being a fake publisher.

My opinion is different . Due to these IDOSI journals the Elsevier proceedia journals effecting. These journals have published conference proceedings at very low rate as compared to Elsevier proceedia. That’s why these journals delisted form Scopus.

There are several publishers with that name. Can you send a link to the one you’re asking about?

Comment on IDOSI Journals No Longer to be Indexed in Scopus by Farid

Mohammad

I have looked at World Applied Sciences journal, which has over 5000 articles indexed on Scopus. Just about 6 months ago, only one paper had more than 10 citations and it was criticized for publishing low quality articles on some Iranian websites. This journal was blacklisted by Iranian ministry of education preventing many people of publishing papers on this journal. All IDOSI journals were also delisted from ISC index.

Suddenly, in less than a few weeks, the number of citations for some of the papers on this journal was jumped to 39 on Scopus database. If one clicks on cite option on Scopus, he/she can easily understand that all citations come from another IDOSI journal. This is a simple manipulation of citation!

I believe the manager of IDOSI has been destroying other OA good quality publishers and creating an excuse for people like Beall to mix all good and bad OA publishers building a black list.

I agree with you that OA journals like “Procedia – Social and Behavioral Sciences” published by ELSEVIER are clear cases of predatory publishers where the editors don’t even bother to check the abstracts of the papers published and may be the reason behind Scopus team for deleting IDOSI papers from Scopus, but I do appreciate their actions against IDOSI for raising some awareness on scientific society so that other OA publishers care more about their publications.

I believe any manipulation of citation is bad not matter it happens from an OA publisher or from a good quality journal published by well known publisher.

Farid
