This is the <a href="http://basharesearch.com/journals.htm" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Basha Research Corporation</a> (BRCORP). I have added it to my list of questionable publishers. It has more internal dead links than any other publisher I've seen in awhile, in addition to many other problems. Please do not submit any papers to this company.

Prof. Beall,

I would like to know your opinion regarding Sons and Daughters Publication. http://www.e-journaldirect.com/index.php

I learned about this organization a few weeks ago while browsing through conference listings for me to present my research in the Philippines and saw a lot of red flags. First, they charge relatively exorbitant publishing fee. Second, their editorial board is nowhere to be found on any of their websites. Third, by looking at the photos, it seems that their conferences are not well attended.

They host the following conferences under International Research Enthusiast Society Inc.:

2nd ICEPSS International Conference on Education, Psychology and Social Science http://icepss.net/

IRRC
Interdisciplinary Research Regional Conference http://irrc.webs.com/

IRCET 2015
International Research Colloquium in Educational Technology http://ircet.webs.com/

They publish the following journals:

International Research Journal of Business and Social Sciences
International Research Journal of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences
International Research Journal of Educational Technology
International Research Journal of Environmental Science

I am worried that more local researchers would consider this organization if I do not share it here.

Thanks,

Mark Capili

I cannot find any evidence to confirm this as a case of journal hijacking.

Dear Mr. Beall,

It is bring to your kind notice that you have placed KRE-Journals in January 2015 under Beall’s List of Predatory Publishers 2013 for the reason pointed out by you that KRE-Publisher is not keeping up with advances in technology and scholarly communication, as is the case here, then the publisher deserves to be singled out for its deficiencies.
It is to inform you that we are bringing out KRE journals in printed form and we are providing the hard copy of the journal to our subscribers and contributors. We started providing full text of the journals at the request of the contributors and Members of the Editorial Boards so that the research papers published by the Contributors from the developing and under developed countries can be accessed by anyone with Internet facilities and can read and start citing the work of the contributors. This was not done for any commercial gain as already mentioned that we are bringing out each journal in printed form (hard copy). Further, we are also giving permission to reprint the materials published in KRE-Journals free.
Last year (2014) we published about nine hundred research papers mainly from Asia, Africa and some from other countries also and there was no problem of communication with our Contributors, Referees, and Others who are helping to edit these papers for final processing and printing.
We have also uploaded our improved website with more easy to operate features and we are requesting our contributors and academicians for inputs to improve our website. I am also attaching a file about paper publication in KRE journals. If still there are some drawbacks, please do inform us so that can be taken care.

We hope to hear a favourable reply.

We will be glad to provide any information required in this regard.

With best regards

(Ms. M. Mukhija)
Administrative Editor

P.S.: We welcome inputs on our improved website

I do not think this is a case of journal hijacking. SciELO is a journal aggregator or meta-publisher, so many of the journals on the SciELO website also have independent websites. Thank you.

Even the best of us can be conned it seems. Perhaps a campaign to inform academics via the Universities themselves would be appropriate. I mean how much are these guys taking out of our education system funds?

Some news in my inbox this morning:
“Indian Journal of Applied Research has released its April Issue, it is been well received by the academic fraternity. The issue includes papers on Management, Commerce, Medical Science, Education, Arts, Engineering etc.

However, IJAR is now been listed in the International ISSN Directory, Paris and offers authors a Copy of the Journal and Certificate of Publication. Thus your paper published in IJAR shall be acceptable in all the Institute/Universities in India and abroad.”

Ridiculously, CGRD has a <a href="http://cgrd.org/index.php/careers" rel="nofollow">"career's page"</a> and, creepily, they require applicants (or "incumbents" as they call them) to enclose "two copies colors photograph (Passport size)" with their CV! No thanks...
