I could not imagine that the “419″ culture has penetrated the sacred temple! It is shameful and disgusting that prospective scholars would devise devious means to sneak into the club they are unqualified to be in. Where are the ethics and morality of the profession? Whatever happened to the miscreants who perpetrated the scam? They have no business in academia.

It’s on my list. If you look at the journal’s main page, you see dozens of logos at the bottom, and the journals says at the top of them, “Indexed in.” This is a bad start, because most of them are services that do not index journal articles. It also claims affiliations, suspiciously, with universities such as Harvard and Cornell. The site has contradictory licensing information, having both copyright statements as well as CC BY statements. Indeed, the journal requires copyright transfer from authors but has CC BY licenses. The journal charges different APCs depending on nationality. It claims to be an “international” journal but the editorial board and papers are dominated by Indians. Other blogs have found problems as well. See: http://fakejournalss.wordpress.com/2011/12/27/www-ijorcs-org-white-globe-publications-is-blacklisted-by-most-universities-worldwide/

I just want to share my experience of web publication: in 2012, my research article was published in Journal of Advances in Developmental Research’ , recently one of the interviewer brought to my notice that this journal is no more publishing, the journal site appeared to be closed and I was shocked and felt very awkward. Can anybody tell me was that a fake publication? Shall I re-publish my valuable research?

Yep, got the spam e-mail from them too. Funny how they can’t do even this right. They addressed it to me but sent it to a colleague of mine.
You want to know how to build a journal? I suggest checking eLife, published by HHMI. They start building in almost two years before the first issues. So, yes, if you start by dumping out 85 journals with no editorial boards and want me to believe that you are a real “new” publisher, then I have a nice beach in Arizona especially for you :)

I see problems with this journal. For example, the article in the journal entitled, "Area Efficient and A High Bit Rate Serial-Serial Multiplier With On-the-Fly Accumulation by Asynchronous Counters" located here: http://www.ijecct.org/v2n6/(312-316)0206M39.pdf is largely copied from the article "AN EFFICIENT BIT RATE PERFORMANCE OF SERIAL-SERIAL MULTIPLIER WITH 1'S ASYNCHRONOUS COUNTER" located here: http://content.yudu.com/Library/A1vvb9/IJAETVOLUME3ISSUE1FU/resources/458.htm Note that the abstract in both articles is the same; the title has been changed in the later article.
