Comment on Another Conference Organizer to Avoid: Global Academic Network by Marco

Michal Pleban is Polish, but not necessarily the one who started this Global Academic Network. He owns one of the largest Polish websites that sells domain names (if I understand this correctly) – which is apparently owned by a company in Cyprus (likely a shell company to reduce taxes).

Your unprofessional comment aside, this is called “cascading peer review,” and I do not consider it to be a predatory practice.

It’s really shameless! How could a person graduated from a well respected University conducts a thing that’s damaging the science? After learning everything about the fundamental philosophies of scientific publication with the Institution, he is now one of the leaders that ruins it?

Dr. Beall

I have been invited to the editorial board of the journal of infection and prevention control.

Do you think it is a good idea?

Thank you in advance.

Comment on Two OA Journals Share the Same Title and Each Claims the Other is Not Legitimate by Dr. Robert Browne

On this very web page there are numerous lies by Craig Hassipakis including that there was never any board of directors and the vote was made by Craig and his friend Howard Clark. I have never made any ethical breaches, and all our claims are legitimate and documented.

To make the point clear of Craig’s pathological lying I refer to his post on this page saying that “Robert’s unscrupulous behaviors have plagued his career in science having been fired from every position he has ever held: Memphis Zoo, Amphiban ARK, Royal Zoological Society of Antwerp, and ARC. When we were communicating (we don’t now) he explained to me personally that the primary reason he moved to Belize was to be out of the reach of the law!”

I have never been fired from a job in my life.

As I have stated below I left Memphis Zoo on my own choice and in fact stayed and worked in the zoo laboratory 6 months over my employment period to finish important conservation projects. My supervisor Dr. Andy Kouba drove me to the airport, gave me a nice lunch where we discussed future work together.

I were held in employment for 6 months at Antwerp Zoo after my contract had expired on supplementary funds. I published many articles while at the zoo and were highly regarded.

My work for the Amphibian Ark (AArk) was to write the “Amphibian Research Guide for Zoos’ which is still a fundamental document. and on their website.

In respect to my moving to Belize it was and is to establish a sustainability project. Craig Hassipakis was fully supportive of the ARC being published from Belize at our original and legitimate website with myself as publisher as stated on the inside cover of the Last issue. Special Mexico Issue, before Craig established his highjacker journal.

In fact Caig Hassipakis and Howard Clark co-authored a Froglog article with me that states quite clearly that the ARC is based in Belize at my sustainability facility

Craig’s fraudulent behaviours seem to thrive on the jingoistic ignorance of his supporter, where he seems as contemptuous of Belize as he is of the Middle East. In fact Belize has strict British based laws regarding fraud and defamation unlike the USA where in practice just about anything seems to be tolerated. In addition in Belize foreign nationals are highly scrutinized by both Interpol and the Belizean police. Craig would criminally charged in Belize and sent back to the USA.

We have full documentation for all our claims of highjacking, perjury, and defamation by Craig.

Dr. Mc Callum I suggest that you let the facts sway your opinions and not whether someone is a good friend. You may also better choose your friend in the future.

I don’t know anything about IT, but why does his McGill email address still work after nine years? Perhaps he does have some kind of hospitality agreement or visiting position over there? If he does, at least his contact information is not completely dishonest (although still misleading). If he doesn’t and McGill finds out, I presume they will put an end to this very quickly.

Number 1, number 3, and number 4 are included on my list <em><a href="http://scholarlyoa.com/individual-journals/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">here</a></em>. Number 2, the <em>International Journal of Engineering Research and Technology</em> (IJERT), is published by a firm called ESRSA Publication — Engineering and Science Research Support Academy. I have this firm included on my publisher list <a href="http://scholarlyoa.com/publishers/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">here</a>. I recommend that researchers stay away from all of these journals.

Alumni of many universities may keep their email address (and some use a special address, such as the @post.harvard.edu), but I suspect that McGill would object to anyone using it as a business email address.

I originally contacted Dr. Al-Tawaha with the following query:

“Can you kindly indicate where we can find the full set of published papers of your journal, Research Journal of Agriculture and Biological Sciences, published by AENSI.
http://oaji.net/journal-detail.html?number=492

The journal is not listed at AENSI’s journal web-page:
http://www.ansinet.com/journals.php

The search led me to this finding. I should note that I still cannot find the cache of journal volumes. It’s a total scandal. I hope McGill responds because I sent them an official request to ivestigate (2 weeks later, abslutely no response).

Yes, I have this publisher included on my list. I have it listed like this: Engineering Journals (Engg Journals Publications) It is on my list <a href="http://scholarlyoa.com/publishers/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">here</a>. I recommend that you not submit any papers to any of its four journals -- they are all very low quality. Best wishes.
