I, for one, nominate Dr Beall to be the editor-ad-inifinitum of this new organization and pledge my immediate and eternal allegiance. We will allow him to access all and any resources he needs to carry out his job of policing the world’s academics, universities, and research organizations. The first order of business will be to mobilize a force of well-armed library paramilitary force to ensure Beall’s rule are enforced. We will build a maximum security correctional institution outside Denver, Co, for all of Beall’s prisoners, and we will not stop until absolutely every IP address, domain name, and printing press is under our control so that we may monitor every activity related to the dissemination of information.

I am very upset, I have spent years working on my Ph.D. and one of my examiners actually recommended LAP and I trusted her judgement. I am afraid I have just registered with them this morning, I uploaded a picture but haven’t written a blurb or a summary of the book yet. I also haven’t done the formatting requirements that they specify yet. Once I read the blog, I emailed the two people who communicated with me saying that I wanted to withdraw my submission for the time being. Can anyone tell me if this was a wise move? is it better for me at this point to continue with them even if it means no royalties? I mean would this situation be a bit better than having them publish it anyway? Can they publish it without my name on it? Is there anything else that I can mention in an email that would absolve me from the agreement? I remember having ‘ticked’ a box, but it seemed to me then that it was part of the account registration process and not the agreement signing itself, since I hadn’t downloaded the their .pdfs yet.
HELP!

Well, Ms/Mr. MC, I do not know why you would take my comment one sided as it does sound pretty neutral to me. In my humble opinion, the validity of any anonymous comments is questionable whether it is (in you words) pro-GAN or not.

Hi, Gilbert. First, regarding the International Journal of Public Policy, this journal is published by a subscription publisher called Inderscience. Because it's a subscription publisher, I have not analyzed it. I can tell you that I do receive many inquiries about Inderscience, an indication that people find it ... questionable. Looking at WorldCat, I see that only 25 libraries worldwide subscribe to this journal, so if you publish your work there, it will essentially be hidden from most of humanity. Regarding the International Journal of Renewable Energy Research, I analyzed this journal in May, 2015 but did not add it to my list. It's borderline, and I generally do not add borderline journals to my list, erring on the side of caution. If a friend asked me about this journal, I would recommend that he find a better one for his work; there are many better ones in this particular field. Good luck.

To make specific my question, is there a possibility the send my published paper back to the genuine ones? Also, how about the evaluation would look like by different universities/ employees if I would apply let me say for PhD having the list of publication on my CV (published on those blacklist journals)? So, what should be the solution to get back my paper and re-publish?

It is very difficult to withdraw a paper from one journal and successfully publish it in another one, and it is usually more trouble than it is worth. Use it as a learning experience, write a new and better paper, and submit it to a stronger journal.

Ken, only a fool would ask a predatory journal its acceptance rate and then take the data at face value. Same for the submitted / accepted dates. I stand by my analysis of this journal.

I think that the European Scientific Journal is a bad choice, to be honest.
The conference is also a bad choice.
I suspect that they will charge you a registration fee for the conference and an author fee for the journal.
I recommend that you find a better journal and a better conference.

The impact factor is not supposed to be a measure of quality, but many use it for that anyway.
There are a few journals with impact factors that are on my list. In my opinion, these journals are low quality.
Some use the impact factor to create a whitelist of journals.
If you use the impact factor to measure the impact/quality of journals in one specific field, then that might be a fair use of the metric.

I am sorry, I have not analyzed these journals. I generally limit my analyses to open-access titles.
I have never seen any negative evidence about these journals that I can remember.

Yes, I recommend that you NOT submit any papers to this journal or any journal published by IISTE. I recommend that you find a better publisher. Good luck.
