Just my tuppence worth – as someone who’s worked on Yang-Mills theory for 10 years, his Yang-Mills photon article is like a jigsaw puzzle of facts with nothing holding it together. You could only think it made sense if you had literally no knowledge of the field. It looks like random facts copied from other people’s works, if I’m honest.

Some of the journal titles are preposterous.

11. Journal of Plant Health and Technology
Are titles 19 and 21 typos or do they really repeat the same topic stwice?
Comment on Open-Access Articles for Sale as Expensive Books on Amazon by Lars Leichert
Well, the higher price of the used book is probably the result of another scam on top of this scam.
In brief: the retailer that sells the used copy operates a bot, which automatically orders the book from the original publisher at $45.46, once you decide to order it from them.
This can lead to funny results, e.g. if the original publisher also operates a bot, which tries to gauge how much it can charge for the book based on the prices the other retailer charges:

Perhaps not predatory, but definitely a journal that researchers should avoid. Many problems here.
Thank you.

Dear Roger,
Actually, Ontario CA is the city of Ontario in California (CA). It’s in the part of Southern California known as the “Inland Empire”, which is San Bernidino County. It is an area with a lot of warehouse space, particularly for the big box stores that move a lot of cargo from the Port of Long Beach and the Port of Los Angeles to the rest of the U.S. Not exactly a part of California that one would expect to find a scientific journal publishing house!

I was looking for this journal in your list:
journal of the indian society of agricultrual statistics
which is available online at:
http://www.isas.org.in
but I could not find it. I suspect it is a predatory one especially when i found paper name
“Discritization based Support Vector Machines for Classification” which is absolutely not in the area of the journal expertise. Please let me know you opinion. Thanks

‘IGI Global Employee’… could you verify this claim somehow? I’m suspect of IGI Global’s publication reach but it would be good to understand whether your comment is just sour grapes (as an employee) or genuine criticism. ps. I’m not from IGI-Global!
