Really, OMICS? Really? You can’t even be bothered making the journal TITLE grammatically correct?

In my opinion, researchers should not submit papers to any of the IISTE journals, including this one.

If I were an Omics advisor, I would have suggested going with “CHEST journal” where “journal” was in font size 2 and “CHEST was not only bolded, but also covering the word “journal”. That would really bring in the submissions.

Is the journal an impact factor journal?
Is the journal among those rated and ranged by thompson Reuters?

Please do not submit any papers to Golden Research Thoughts. It is a low quality journal.

If the editors were well known, why there were only 6 papers published is this broad topic ??? Certainly not because of a strict reviewing process, as everyone knowns the real “quality” of this publisher.

Regarding your two papers published in 2013, neither of them received any citation so far. If you consider this a good result, after paying 500 US dollars for each one, please continue publishing your work with them. I am sure you will get the academic credit you deserve.

An advice for this bogus publisher: Be professional predatory publisher and launch special issues every month as did MDPI and Hindawi. Suggestions for special issue: Chest Diseases, Diseases & Chest, Tuberculosis & Chest …

Six article were published in this issue. Coauthors U. V. S. Seshavatharam and S. Lakshminarayana published 5 articles in the same issue of the journal. Only 1 article was by other authors.

By the way, many journals of this publisher are “ISSN pending”.

I find one strange thing: http://openjournalsystems.com which provides commercial support for OJS has included a fake indexing service agency, namely GIF (Global Impact Factor: http://globalimpactfactor.com/submit-journal/). After a long time I checked their site and it fully dubious with vast collection of names, probably copied from email signatures (because some are all in caps).

It looks horrible. However, it’s not an open-access publisher, so at this time, I don’t want to fully analyze or consider it. Because it is so horrible, I imagine few if any libraries subscribe to its broad journals, so anyone publishing there is essentially hiding his work.

How do we know the right open access journals because the few I know to be good are very costly!

Correct; this is one of the problems with the open-access model.
