The IJAS conferences look like pure tourism. I suppose some people manage to bill their universities for attendance.

They seem to be a subsidiary of the “International Journal of Arts & Sciences”, one of several extrusions from “University Publications” (which is on Jeffrey’s list). So the Uni.Pub. site mentions Joseph Bonnici as an Associate Editor, while Bonnici is also IJAS Conferences Coordinator. And one of the perks of attending the sightseeing conference is an invitation to publish in IJAS afterwards.

Bonnici receives a high rating from his students on Ratemyprofessors.com for the minimal demands he makes of them.

Correct, I recommend that <strong>all </strong>researchers not submit papers to <strong>all </strong>the journals published by ansinet (Asian Network for Scientific Information). Find a better publisher for your work. You will thank me in the future.

This journal is not on the standalone journal list because it is not a standalone journal. I have this journal's publisher — Science Huβ — included on my list <a href="http://scholarlyoa.com/publishers/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">here</a>. It is a bad journal, and I recommend that you not submit any papers to this journal. Please find a better journal.

Yes, this is a horrible journals that should be avoided by all.

I have recently got acceptence from International Journal of Advanced Research (IJAR) and now i find it here in questinable list of journals…is it fake journal are what ? What should i do further ?.

I recommend pulling the article and submitting it to a more respected journal.

I was just browsing the website of DOVE MEDICAL PRESS LTD., i found that they have a tab of GET PERMISSION with each article which links to copyright clearance center.
e.g. http://www.copyright.com/openurl.do?&issn=2230-2484&WT.mc.id=Dove%20Medical%20Press
In this page one of the permission type is: “Share content electronically” which means that if I want to email an article to someone or post it on intranet/extranet I have to pay them about $30.
Dove press is an open access publisher them how can it charge someone for emailing an article to another person who may be my colleague or friend?
The Dovepress website says that ” Non-commercial uses of the work are permitted without any further permission from Dove Medical Press Limited”, but on the copyright clearance center website it says that the “Share content electronically” has to be only for commercial purpose.

Another thing I noticed that they do not give full text on the webpages but only the abstract, which means that they are saving a ton of money and not providing the hotlinks to the references.

The name is similar to the Frontiers group in Switzerland. Besides, the IF looks dubious. Please can you confirm this?
