Comment on Questionable OA Publisher Launches with a Clever Website and 52 New Journals by Andre Martins

I thank you and, after reading the reviews and research more about this “scientific journal”, I decided that I will not pay the fee. One question, though: even not paying the fee, I can submit my article to another journal? I wrote a paper of 22 pages with great care, dedication and not in my native language, and find it very good … Nothing in the article is exclusive of the International Journal of Music and Performing Arts. Thanks again, I think this blog is very important for researchers in various parts of the world. I will promote it among my friends who are also researchers and students.

Be careful, because in some cases this publisher has published papers even without receiving payment from the authors.

Thanks Jefrey, should I write an email specifically not authorizing the publication of my article in any of the journal published by them or you think it will not help?

It’s worth a try, but this publisher is immoral and unpredictable, and one never knows what it will do.

Thank you, Mr. Beall. I was so close to registering, at first I thought maybe it was real because of their claim that: “we don’t charge publication fees from authors”. I even saw that one of my professors presented a paper at one of their conferences.

I am so grateful I found your blog. Thanks again.

Endocrinology & Metabolism International Journal (EMIJ) is from the publisher MedCrave, which is on my list. This is a completely bogus publisher that only wants to take money from honest researchers.

Is it a predatory journal?

Thank You

Okay, there are two publishers here: Research Trend and Research Trends. They both stink.
Research Trend is an open-access publisher and is included on my list.
Research Trends, the publisher of the journal you mention, is a subscription publisher (not open-access) and is therefore out of scope for my list. I assume Research Trends is spamming right now, desperate for articles, because several others have also inquired about them.
Short answer: Avoid all journals from both Research Trend and Research Trends.

Why would he give his alter ego only one name? (Possible answer: he thinks it’ll prevent people from Googling the mysterious Dr. Frank to see if they’re legit, and therefore he assumes they’ll then give up and submit their papers without checking his bona fides, as opposed to not submitting their papers at all.) Is “Frank” a first name or a last name? Is it supposed to be short for Frankenstein (pronounced Fronkensteen, (C) Mel Brooks)?

No. I recommend that researchers avoid submitting papers to all the journals from ansinet (Asian Network for Scientific Information). I have this publisher included on my list here.

I loved the journal name. You have got both “Nature” and “Science” under one single title. How cool is that!!
